Reclaimed land at Carrick Big viewed from the south-eastern spur of Slieve Binnian

This island of good quality grassland, the result of recent land reclamation, and located on a flat terrace contrasts with the surrounding moorland. The track is that from the Carrick Little car park on the Head Road. The foreground shows a number of small granite quarries on the mountain side.
