Lahardane: Addergoole Titanic Memorial Park (2)

This Memorial Park was opened on 15th April 2012 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

In April 1912 fourteen men and women from Addergoole sailed from Queenstown(Cobh), Cork for a new life in America on the Titanic.

Tragically, eleven died in the icy waters of the North Atlantic.
