Chichester Street looking down towards Montgomery Street (middle bottom). This building J3474 : Nos 43-47 Chichester Street, Belfast (December 2008) (now demolished) is at bottom left. The partly-vacant site, to its right, was the “Plaza” ballroom J3474 : The Plaza (ballroom), Belfast. The back of the Victoria Hall J3473 : The Victoria Hall, Belfast (also demolished) can be seen at middle left). The tall building (background) is Windsor House J3373 : Windsor House, Belfast. The redbrick building (right) was once Coulter’s Ford showroom. It was later demolished. The site was used as a car park pending the construction of a new building - later occupied by Allied Hambro. The building from which the photograph was taken was replaced by the Victoria Square development J3474 : The changing face of Chichester Street, Belfast (2).

A site at 20/36 Chichester Street and 28/36 Arthur Street with the following planning permission (17 February 2017) “LA04/2016/1789/F Demolition of existing building at 34-36 Chichester Street and erection of new 8No. storey mixed use development incorporating retail and office ground floor, and 1st-7th floor offices with associated external plant. 7-9 Arthur Street 20-32 Chichester Street and existing building at 34-36 Chichester Street Belfast”.
The completed building will be occupied by HM Revenue and Customs.

There is the following planning permission (approved 24 May 2017) “LA04/2016/0548/F Partial demolition of existing office building to provide 8 storey office building with retail space on ground floor. Londonderry House 19 - 27 Chichester Street Belfast BT1 4JB”.
