The "Firethorn" at Coleraine
The "Firethorn" at Coleraine
Under a threatening winter sky the “Firethorn”, a coaster in the Coe Metcalf fleet, was discharging a cargo of coal. At the time the “Firethorn” and the “Hawthorn” C8432 : The "Hawthorn" at Coleraine were frequent visitors. With the demise of coal the quayside was redeveloped to handle export cargoes of scrap metal as seen in C8432 : The "Britannica Hav" at Coleraine (2).
