Bags of removed heather
Bags of removed heather
In the autumn of 2012 a huge amount of heather was removed from this moorland in bags. I'm guessing that heather burning is no longer the preferred option. I wonder if the heather was later burned in Sheffield's clean-burning refuse disposal plant which generates electricity and supplies hot water to local buildings.
