NX5166 : The upper corrie of the Mid Burn

taken 11 years ago, near to Meikle Mulltaggart [hill or Mountain], Dumfries And Galloway, Great Britain

The upper corrie of the Mid Burn
The upper corrie of the Mid Burn
A flat, rather marshy place, which may well have held a larger loch many years ago. The crags at the rear of the corrie (the Clints of the Spout) sport a small frozen waterfall - the Spout of the Clints. This descends the steep face of the crags seen from above in NX5066 : The steep east side of Cairnsmore of Fleet
