SO8933 : Former railway bridge at Tewkesbury

taken 11 years ago, near to Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, England

Former railway bridge at Tewkesbury
Former railway bridge at Tewkesbury
This blue brick three arched railway bridge used to carry the Tewkesbury to Great Malvern railway line. The line was partially closed in 1954 from Upton-upon-Severn to Great Malvern, and then to passengers between Tewkesbury and Upton-upon-Severn in August 1961. At the time of the picture work is beginning to remove the embankment which crosses the Avon floodplain at Tewkesbury, I'm not sure if this bridge is also to be demolished.
