Winter on the Kennet and Avon
Winter on the Kennet and Avon
About half a mile East of Brice tunnel on the way to Crofton. There was a huge tree trunk in the water my husband (steering) had to go around it but the water is so shallow there that he ran aground so it took about an hour to get past the tree!

The canal here is in a deep cutting leading to the tunnel entrance with steep wooded sides. The towpath can be very muddy as all the rain runs off the sides.

Always see a lot of Kingfishers along here especially in the Autumn.
