HISTORY: Pillar completed 27th October 1955 costing £43.16s.3d. Computed as tertiary station NS04/T53 in 1956. Levelled for height also in 1956. Last maintained by the OS in May 1977. SITE VISIT: Parked in wide entrance of track, SE side of unclassified road at NR908585. Gate into large grazing field ~100m to NE. Further gate at NR909592 then straight line to trig. Cnoc na Meine. Tussocky in places, minor boggy area to negotiate otherwise not too challenging. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains original centre cap with raised large narrow letters. Flush bracket faces SE, ~128°. Vented through SW and NW sight holes. Full 360° panorama includes a profile of Arran from the north.
