Hermitage drainage mill, Acle
The truncated tower of the long disused windpump appears to have been converted for housing modern pumping equipment. The wind pump was known as Hermitage mill, a name derived from the marshland surrounding it which is known as Hermitage marshes. It adjoins a former miller's cottage > Link. This mill was apparently also known as Charlie Water's Mill.
