Freight train leaving Ardee
Closed to passenger trains in 1934, the branch line from Dromin Junction to Ardee only saw week-day freight services by 1975. Headed by CIE 201 class No. 210 (Metropolitan Vickers 1957), the daily freight departs for Drogheda. The Ardee branch closed to all traffic on 3 November 1975 and little trace now remains. 210 was scrapped in October 1992.
