Start of the swimming discipline of the Lough Neagh Triathlon at Ballyronan, hosted by the Hi-Elbow club. Lough Neagh is a shallow lake with an average depth of only around 25 feet, though there are several deep trenches, and it is possible to wade out quite a distance from the shore before the water is even knee deep, illustrated by the fact that the start of the swim is where the boat beyond the yellow buoy is moored so they have quite a bit of paddling still to do.
