Coronation Plantation (section) seen from road to Sally Gap
Here we see a small section of the so-called Coronation Plantation. As can be seen, especially in the foreground, the plantation was in fact rather thin, an ambitious Victorian period plan for afforestation which was never completed. In the middle distance, we see slightly more tree cover, and in the background the Wicklow Mountains continue.
