O2453 : Coast west of Rush, with Bride's Stream mouth

taken 13 years ago, 3 km from Rush, Dublin, Ireland

Coast west of Rush, with Bride's Stream mouth
Coast west of Rush, with Bride's Stream mouth
A stretch of embanked coastline a little west of the Rush urban area, with an arch visible mid-picture where Bride's Stream (the name probably referencing St. Brigid) comes to the sea. The stream has crossed the area from the Whitestown area and further north, combining near the former Whitestown mill with Jone's Stream; it has a secondary mouth a little to the east. The area is sparsely populated, and the road ends soon after the stream mouth.
