Footbridge over Devonport Leat
Footbridge over Devonport Leat
A Granite footbridge over the very overgrown and dry course of the Devonport leat. This was built to provide a water supply for Plymouth Dock, later to be called Devonport. The Plymouth Dock Waterworks was granted powers to extract water in 1793, when construction began.
