No.28 Modern Mistress stove, Ulster American Folk Park

It includes the inscription "Columbian Stove Works" which I think is somewhere in northern Britain. I remember my grandparents had a similar appliance in their dwelling

It was multi-purpose, heated by turf, wood blocks or coal, it heated the room, was an oven and there was a hotplate on top for boiling the kettle or cooking on.
