Belfast - Titanic Quarter - Titanic Belfast
This building was built 2009-05 through 2012-03-31 as a visitor attraction and monument to Belfast's maritime heritage on the site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast's Titanic Quarter. The exhibitions within it tell the stories about the ill-fated RMS Titanic, which sank on her maiden voyage in 1912, and her sister ships RMS Olympic & HMHS Britannic. This eight storey museum is 126' high, the same height as the Titanic's hull. The interior includes a store, a cafe & nine galleries spread amongst eight floors. The self guided tour starts on the Ground Floor and proceeds to the 1st, then 4th, 3rd, 2nd & 1st Floors.
