This 5 storey tower of the Nagles above the south side of the Blackwater was forfeited after King James II was defeated at the Battle of the Boyne by the king's Attorney-General Sir Richard Nagle. It stands in the garden of a C19 house, and its restoration has been resumed in modern times since it was roofed, floored and battlemented in 1882. It probably dates from the mid-C16.
