Galway - Galway Cathedral - Stained Glass Window & Organ Pipes on North Wall
View is to the north from the North Wing. The pipe organ was originally built in 1966 by Rushworthe & Dreaper of Liverpool, England. In 2006 & 2007 it was renovated and greatly expanded by Trevor Crowe of Ireland. It includes 3 manuals, 59 stops, & over 3,000 pipes that range in length from 6 inches to 21 feet. It is used for regular services. A smaller portable organ with 1 manual & 4 stops is used with liturgy of a smaller scale in the side chapels (Adomnon Chapel and Our Lady's Chapel).
