The (CIE) Point Depot, Dublin (1983)
The Point Depot was originally a railway goods shed. The date of construction is given as 1878 in this link LinkExternal link but Johnson’s Railway Atlas & Gazetteer of the Railways of Ireland (Midland Publishing 1997) shows the connecting lines opening in 1886. At the time of the photograph it was still in railway ownership but was subsequently sold and converted to an entertainment venue – see O1834 : The O2, Dublin (November 2009).
