Cromarty Firth Road Bridge, Scotland
Inaugurated on the 12th April 1979, the 68-span Cromarty Bridge carries the A9 trunk road over the Cromarty Firth in Scotland. The A9 is the main north-south route in the north of Scotland. The bridge comprises pre-stressed concrete beams and is 0.9 miles (1.5 km) long. The bridge replaces the previous, much longer inland route via Dingwall.
