Shotlock Tunnel
The southern entrance to this 106 yard long tunnel on the Settle-Carlisle line. It was completed in 1875, as the date stone indicates.
On the embankment can be seen evidence of much work which has been done to strengthen it and improve drainage to prevent landslips after prolonged rain.
