J3271 : Mouse, Belfast

taken 10 years ago, 3 km from Belfast, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland

Mouse, Belfast
Mouse, Belfast
A small mouse I encountered on the footpath on Marlborough Park South in Belfast (smaller than my thumb - I thought it was a Shrew at first, but it is a young mouse). Very much alive but seemingly petrified, it didn't move as I touched it and then photographed it. I did manage to coax it back into nearby undergrowth after I took this image.
