"Glenoe" or "Gleno"?
"Glenoe" or "Gleno"?
The two spellings “Gleno” and “Glenoe” exist side-by-side with Officialdom favouring the latter and locals the former. The “E” has been painted out on this NT sign at the car park on the Waterfall Road. The Irish name is “Gleann Eo” – “valley of the yew”. See also J3996 : Welcome to Gleno.
