The ruins of Newcastle House, Co. Westmeath
Close to the castle at Newcastle are the ruins of a detached five-bay two storey country house. Known as Newcastle House, it was built or rebuilt c.1851, and may have been an extensive alteration of an existing Georgian wing. It was occupied by C. Coffey, Esq. in 1837, and is now derelict.
