Taken in the gap between rainstorms, the sky above the mountain is still covered by dark rainclouds whilst some gaps in the clouds let evening sunlight through to highlight the rocks on Castle Ridge, behind it the Douglas Boulder and to some extent the north face.

The larger version of this image is well worth viewing for gaining a better impression of the rugged nature of this side of the mountain which is completely the opposite of the terrain seen by most people ascending the tourist path on the other side.
