Christ's Saddle, Skellig Island
Christ's Saddle, Skellig Island
This ancient staircase forms the last climb to the summit and monastery on the island. At this point, two staircases from the bottom of the island converge - the one that's in use today by tourists to the summit - the other staircase is now no longer in use and erosion means that it is not possible to use parts of this staircase.
