W5948 : Cabbage patch

taken 10 years ago, near to Ballinspittle, Co Cork, Ireland

Cabbage patch
Cabbage patch
Most of the farming that we come across around here is cattle farming, so it's a bit of surprise to see cabbages by the road, but of course there must be many, many such fields. The crossroads is unnamed, although 1km east there is Currahoo Cross Rds and 1km west there is Ballyhander. (Hertz gave us an unnecessarily large, but very comfortable, Skoda Octavia for our geographing couple of days.)
