Flood bank, River Yare at Buckenham Marshes
This section of bank has recently been 'raised' to counter the settlement that there has been in recent years. The material used was brought from a housing development in Brundall where they had surplus soils. This work is undertaken through the Environment Agency's Broadland Flood Alleviation Project - see LinkExternal link
Buckenham Sailing Club and the Beauchamp Arms pub can be seen on the opposite side of the river.
