The former Strand Linen Spinning Mill in Newtownards Road
The Strand Mill was established in the early 1900s by the Jewish entrepreneur and Lord Mayor of Belfast, Sir Otto Jaffa. With the post WWII decline in the linen industry the mill ceased operating in the early 1980s and the building was sold and converted into usable workspaces for small businesses. The property is now called the Portview Trade Centre
