NX0661 : Rusty iron at Loch Ryan

Rusty iron at Loch Ryan
Rusty iron at Loch Ryan
Stranraer — the station that's been left all at sea. 500 metres out from the mainland at the end of a pier, the railway station once known as Stranraer Harbour is now accompanied by an abandoned ferry terminal as travellers to and from Ireland no longer have time in this frenetic world to cruise the length of Loch Ryan. This photograph was taken during the visit of a special train. The usual trains are of just two carriages and have no need for the rusting rails leading past the signal box to a second platform.
