Victoria Embankment :: TQ3180

Victoria Embankment runs from Westminster Bridge to Blackfriars Bridge along the north bank of the River Thames and forms part of the A3211 road.
It was constructed by Sir Joseph Bazalgette, between 1865-70, as part of his building of the London sewerage network. Under the embankment are the sewers and the Metropolitan Underground line.
