Looking eastwards to the Old Town and East Lothian beyond.
"Edinburgh, the capital City of Scotland, is pleasantly situated upon a Hill in the Northern Part of the County Mid-Lothian, about two Miles besouth the noble Estuary the Frith of Forth, in the fifty fifth Degree and fifty five Minutes of Northern Latitude, and of Longitude, three Degrees West from London.
