A selection of election posters for candidates standing in the 2015 General Election in the constituency of North Down in Northern Ireland (see Link ). This is a representative selection of posters which were displayed in the town of Bangor where, to the best of my knowledge, every candidate except one displayed posters.
The UK General Election 2015 was held on 7th May.
The election was won outright by the Conservative party with David Cameron as Prime Minister. The Conservatives won with a majority, having taken 331 of the 650 parliamentary seats.
Number of votes and seats for the largest four parties;
Conservatives 11.33m votes, 331 seats
Labour 9.34m votes, 232 seats
UK Independence Party 3.88m votes, 1 seat
Liberal Democrats 2.41m votes, 8 seats
The Scottish National Party took 56 seats having only 1.45m votes, becoming the 3rd largest party in parliament.
