Blackfriars Station
Blackfriars Station
The Underground station served by the District and Circle Lines. The station opened in 1870 as St.Pauls and was the eastern terminus of the Metropolitan District Railway's extension from Westminster. The line was extended east again the following year to Mansion House. The station was renamed Blackfriars in 1937 following the opening of St.Pauls station on the Central line. The doors are about to close after the passengers have disembarked from a train of S7 stock on a District service to Barking.

Map locations given are approximate due to the difficulty in accurately locating an underground structure.
