Like SH6756 : View of Gallt y Wenallt and Lliwedd from the valley road this was taken from the layby in Nantygwryd Valley looking towards Penygwryd. Unlike SH5751 : The best open top bus ride in Britain this spectacle was for one weekend only!

New to Crosville [see LinkExternal link] as DVG512, this venerable Bristol VR is the last survivor of its kind in a former Crosville depot.

For a few days at the end of September 2006 it performed the S2 Snowdon Sherpa service ferrying walkers, cyclists and other tourists between Betws y Coed and Pen y Pass.

This appears to be the only time an open top VR was used on this service. For this photographer, here was the highlight of the Crosville centenary year.
