TM3742 : Shingle Spit at Shingle Street

taken 9 years ago, near to Shingle Street, Suffolk, England

Shingle Spit at Shingle Street
Shingle Spit at Shingle Street
Part of the dynamic East Suffolk coast, these shingle spits constantly change their size and shape.

Note the shallow angle on the seaward side where the waves and current deposit the shingle, and the steeper angle on the "inside" - away from the waves.
