The Lutyens Gardens, Heywood Estate
The Lutyens Gardens, Heywood Estate
In 1906, the then owner of the Heywood Estate commissioned the famous landscape artist Sir Edwin Lutyens to design gardens adjacent to the House. This is the terrace which leads on through the Pleached Walk to the Oval Garden. The gardens are now administered by the Office of Public Works and are open to the public.
