Round Seefin, Long Seefin and Rocky Mountain from the Quarter Road
Round Seefin, Long Seefin and Rocky Mountain from the Quarter Road
These are linked by the Seefin Path which leads from the top of Quarter Road up to the rounded summit of Round Seefin and then, following the Mourne Wall, progresses up and along the Long Seefin Ridge to Rocky Mountain. This particular Rocky Mountain, one of three of that name in the Mournes, is at 525m the highest of the three. Seefin is derived from the Irish Sui Finn, meaning "Finn's seat".
