SE0842 : Narrow Boat on Leeds Liverpool Canal
A beautifully modernised boat...... .
Although well turned out this narrowboat, like the vast majority on the canals today, is almost certainly a modern vessel built to copy the traditional style. Generally the traditional working narrowboats were more characteristic of the Midlands canals and were too long for the L&L east of Wigan. The indignous craft were wide boats, more along the lines of:-
