J3730 : Rapids above Donard Bridge

taken 9 years ago, near to Newcastle, Co Down, Northern Ireland

Rapids above Donard Bridge
Rapids above Donard Bridge
The river appears very depleated. This may be due to a dry spell or may be due to the extraction of water upstream to feed the HEP scheme. The Glen River however is a spate river and carries a large volume of water following heavy rain.
