SN8322 : Highest beach in Wales?

taken 9 years ago, near to Moel Feity [hill or Mountain], Powys, Great Britain

Highest beach in Wales?
Highest beach in Wales?
The rock hollow excavated by glaciers beneath the northeastern corner of Y Mynydd Du host Llyn y Fan Fawr. At its northern and southern extremities are small tracts of sand which it might be said are the highest beaches in Wales. There are higher lakes but they tend to have rocky shores whereas the host rock here - Old Red Sandstone - lends itself to beach formation once ground up by say, moving ice.
