Dandelion leaves are edible and a rich source of vitamin A; wine can be made from the flowers. Dandelions are also known to have been used in many traditional medicines, perhaps most commonly to treat diseases of the liver diseases and kidney but also for treating digestive problems and skin conditions. Modern scientists, of course, will tell you that there is no compelling evidence for using dandelion as a treatment for any medical condition.
