Grazing land either side of the M4 motorway (itself hidden in the image) can be seen closest to the camera. Parts of Pyle and Kenfig Hill – an average of 2 kilometres or so from the camera – lie beyond. The rounded conifer-covered top to the left of centre in the distance is Moel Ton-mawr. Lying in grid square SS8387, it is 319 metres tall. It is situated about 6.25 kilometres from the spot on the lane Heol-y-Sheet where the picture was taken.
