TL3369 : Old railway line

taken 17 years ago, near to Holywell, Cambridgeshire, England

Old railway line
Old railway line
This is the route of the old railway line into Cambridge. It is being converted into a guided busway - an idea like a tram but the buses can drive off the end and become 'normal' buses so can negotiate central Cambridge - the idea being that Cambridge station is too far out of town to be a popular place to get to. The fencing is to protect great crested newts.
