Armagh Prison, closed since 1986, was in its later stages Northern Ireland's women's prison. The front of the prison faces on to the south end of The Mall.

Armagh Gaol

Former gaol in the centre of Armagh which was opened around 1780 and closed in 1986 H8745 : Armagh Prison.. The sites at Link , Link and Link will give useful historical information. There have been plans to completely refurbish the buildings, possibly as a hotel, but, at the time of writing, no redevelopment looks likely in the immediate future.
