The high wall is that of the former Armagh Gaol.
Armagh Gaol

Former gaol in the centre of Armagh which was opened around 1780 and closed in 1986 H8745 : Armagh Prison.. The sites at LinkExternal link , LinkExternal link and LinkExternal link will give useful historical information. There have been plans to completely refurbish the buildings, possibly as a hotel, but, at the time of writing, no redevelopment looks likely in the immediate future.
