St Declan's Oratory, Ardmore
St Declan's Oratory is situated to the east of the ruined cathedral and is believed to be the burial place of St Declan, the founder of the monastery at Ardmore. St Declan was a Christian and Bishop of Munster before the arrival of St Patrick to Ireland. The oratory is an important station of pilgrimage to Ardmore on 24th July each year. The building was re-roofed and modernised in 1716.
