View SW towards Towyn, Talyllyn Railway, whence the train had come. This was soon after this narrow-gauge (2 ft. 3 in.) line was rescued and restored in 1951 as Britain's First Preserved Heritage Railway. The locomotive is 0-4-2T 'Edward Thomas', ex-Corris Railway (built 1921 by Kerr-Stuart).
