The school's web site states that "St. Malachy’s Girls’ School is an all girls, Catholic Primary School situated in Anne Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth. Our school, in the Parish of Dundalk, is under the care of the Dominican Order since its foundation in 1833, the first national school in Dundalk. At present there are 263 girls enrolled in the school. Our pupils come from wide and varied social backgrounds and also include children from many cultures and nationalities."
The main entrance faces towards Anne Street.
